Getting Here
Agnes Gateway Hotel, named after the founder Mrs. Agnes Kera, is a 28-room hotel that clings to the shore of the island studded Roviana Lagoon. An early morning "cuppa" or a late afternoon "sundowner" drink from the Lodge's "Munda Bar", enjoyed while watching a vibrant community on its water highway is a true experience for the senses, and walks through our adjacent villages will take you back in time.
The untouched beauty of the Western Province of the Solomon Islands has been attracting visitors from all around the world for years. Only an one hour flight or a ten hours daylight voyage from the capital Honiara, Munda is situated close to the junction of the Roviana and Vona Vona lagoons, and is ideal for travellers who want something off the beaten track and are in search of the real Solomon Islands, whilst enjoying superb cuisine, comfortable accommodation and breathtaking scenery above and below the water.
Munda and Agnes Gateway Hotel are the most readily accessible places outside of the capital. Once you reach Honiara after flights from either Brisbane, Nadi or Port Moresby, Solomon Airlines domestic service has at least two to three flights every day into Munda from Honiara, and one or two inbound flights from Gizo daily.
Pre-booked visitors who have requested transfer assistance will be met at either Noro Port or Munda Airport. The transfer time from the port to Munda is about half an hour by bus or canoe. The transfer time from the airport to Agnes Gateway Hotel is just three minutes' walking! And although you cannot get lost, we will meet you anyway.
